A one stop, compliant solution with management transparency and traceability
Re-Teck Your Lithium-ion Battery Recycling Provider

Sustainable Recycling Solution for Lithium-ion Batteries
Almost every electronic device in use today contains a lithium-ion battery with a life span of three to six-years. By 2030, used lithium-ion batteries from consumer electronics will reach two-million metric tons per year.

Batteries Are the Core of Electric Vehicles
The sales of EV cars is expected to increase from six-million to over 20-million by 2025, creating an increased demand for scarce materials such as lithium and cobalt.
What will we do with these batteries?
At Re-Teck we decided to find a solution to solve
this problem in the US and globally
Full-service Lithium-ion Battery Recycling
Battery Recycling Flow

Types of Recycled Batteries
- Li-ion polymer batteries from consumer electronics
(mobile devices, tablets, etc.) - Li-ion battery modules with plastic trays from notebook PCs
- New Generation Mobile (NGM)
(power bank, electric toothbrush, etc.) - Lithium Cobalt Oxide & Lithium Manganese Oxide
(electric tools, toys, etc.) - Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFO) & Lithium Nickle Cobalt Manganese (NMC)
(Electric Vehicles)

Our Process
- Batteries are shredded and dropped into a hammermill where the size reduction continues.
- Next is the screw conveyor. It moves the particles up to the upper level; the separation process begins in this area.
- A shaker table removes paper and foil from the batteries. Next the cobalt-laden material is sent to a sealed container.
- Magnets separate the materials, and the output is called black mass.
- The plastic casing is separated from the batteries.
- Next, we have an output with a combination of nickel, cobalt, iron, and magnesium. The output depends upon the chemistry of the battery.
- Then we have copper output.
- The air particles will pass through large rectangular air particle separators. This area is where the plastics and foils are separated.
- The air scrubber is next and it removes the electrolytes.
- The second filtration process uses charcoal filters.
